TURANGI.-Judges Pools Motel.
Curled op in a ball on the floor watching Madagascar 2.
One more day of teaching.- RIGHT… June 27th
Haha. My birthday ay? I dig out my phone to check the time again.
"New Message"
My cheeks stretch out again. On a bit of a cheesy note, ‘I can FEEL the love tonight’. Right up until the last 5 minutes I’m still receiving happy birthday wishes. Spoilied all over this world.
Friday I spent working and relaxing with mates. Which brings me to the snow-capped mountain peak of it all: Saturday. It may have not started off this way because I had a long-as ‘open-close’ day at the gym, but going home made all the difference.
I lazily unlocked my flat door to find SUMMER!
ALOHA! Haha Far out. My best friend Lucy and all of the 27 community had brought the beach to me: leis, posters, coconuts, lollies, pineapple, coctail books, umbrellas, surfboards, glow bracelets (yes on my kind of beach), and best of all SAND! My entire backyard was filled, excuse me, STILL is filled with sand.
It was incredible! Biggest surprise I’ve ever had. Haha. That night began with card games, moose, beer pong lessons, and a dance-off, which migrated, yet again, to town. There was a fuzzy period that ended when I awoke curled on my neighbor’s beanbag. Haha, not the worst place I have fallen asleep.
Touch wood. NO Hangover streak. The funny thing is that it didn’t end there. My actual birthday wasn’t until Monday when I had a Red Cross People Saver’s program to run down in Turangi.
You know what that means….. ROADTRIP. Since it was such a long drive, the Red Cross supplied the motel room, car and petrol funds. I on the other hand supplied the wild crew of 3: Lucy, Megs, and Han. Often referred to as NZ’s next top Post-ers (new fad that is much more intense than ‘planking’)
I know I’m a dork. A 23 year old one to be exact. Numbers might start adding up but the ‘child at heart’ will never leave.
Just a quick summary of the trout country of Turangi. We managed play mini golf, rock climb, explore the pools and trout museum, post-up the town, aggravate a domestic dispute (oasis resataurant), play on a swinging bridge, play a round of scrabble, watch Madagascar 2, dip our feet in the hot springs and spa in Taupo as well as educate and train 70 students in basic first aid and cpr.
Alright kids, I’m sorry my eyes are sealing up here and becoming sore.
Time to hit the hay.
Goodnight World. x
